Fleet
We are proud of the appearance and functionality of our fleet. Our driver comfort is a priority for us when determining tractor specifications. When you step into our tractors, you’ll notice the extra amenities and the upgraded interior packages.
Currently, our tractor fleet consists of 2004 to 2007 Freightliner Columbia Condo sleepers and Volvo 670 Condo sleepers. Most come with chrome wheels which showcase our bright red cabs. Many of our trailers are fully decaled with award winning graphic packages. Our trailers are 53-foot Wabash and Stoughton plate trailers that average 2 years of age. To support our drop trailer program, we maintain a 2.5 to 1 trailer to tractor ratio.
While Star Leasing keeps our trailers in top shape, our tractors are professionally maintained by Ryder Transportation Services. Ryder has a professionally managed maintenance shop located near our terminal in Elwood, IN. As well, Ryder has several hundred additional shops in the regions where our equipment travels. Our local shop has ample service bays for servicing several tractors simultaneously. It also includes an indoor drive through trailer repair bay, an automated wash bay and a fueling facility next door.
We offer Owner Operator maintenance, including fuel and washings, at our local maintenance facility. This gives our Owner Operators professional tractor maintenance at an attractive, affordable cost.
